simon-keeling-813029616Simon says ... "The tick box exercise of the PPL leads to little actual weather knowledge. This course teaches you what you need to know to get the most from your flying."
aeroplaneDelegates say ... "Thanks very much for a very useful day. I would urge anyone who has the slightest doubts about their weather knowledge to attend."

What topics are covered?Shower over the sea
How to maximise your flying time and get the aircraft booked before anyone else. We'll use todays charts to investigate how our flying would have been affected today (for example, would the cloud in the photograph have stopped you flying?). Topics covered included airmasses, the atmosphere, frontal systems, pressure systems, cloud development & forecasting, weather data as well as a Q & A session.

I am an experienced pilot, should I attend?
Yes, this course has been attended by those with no flying experience, through to 777 pilots and everyone said they learned a lot from it.

Will this course help me with my PPL?
You will get under the skin of weather during this course. It will help you think like a weather forecaster and explain why weather happens. It is not a crash-course for passing the PPL, but it will make you think and help you pass your exams.

What is included?
Lectures, lunch and refreshements through the day are all included (the biscuits are fab!).

What time does the course start & end?
The course last for a full day and runs from 10am to approximately 4.00pm.

Where is the course held?
At the Weatherweb Weather Centre in Wombourne, Staffordshire, WV5 9JD. The Centre is adjacent to the A449, 20 minutes from the M40 & M5.

How much does the course cost?
The cost is £160 which includes lunch, materials & refreshments.
This must be paid in advance. Numbers are restricted and you can book your place now.
